Hedge fund ExodusPoint Capital Management has expanded its London team with the appointment of Bin Zou as a macro quantitative researcher.
Zou joins ExodusPoint from Goldman Sachs, and will focus on alpha signal research in FX and rates.
At Goldman, Zou was an executive director, developing systematic trading strategies in FX and rates.
Zou holds a PhD in machine learning and natural language processing from University College London, and has an expertise in developing systematic macro trading strategies.

He began his career at Goldman as an associate in January 2019, and served at the rank for almost two years. He was promoted to executive director in December 2020.
Zou joins a continued tide of staff leaving the world of banking for hedge funds.
Last month, Goldman’s Yuriy Podoshev left the bank to join Bridgewater Associates as engineering director. In January, Sid Chaturvedi left Goldman and joined Millennium as senior portfolio manager.
ExodusPoint is planning to expand its team further in London. The firm is hiring a junior trading engineer, a technology developer, and an infrastructure graduate analyst, according to its LinkedIn page.
